Soft tissue necrosis is one of possible consequence of radiation exposure during radiotherapy, which may be defined as an ulcer located in the radiated tissue, without the presence of residual malignancy. Since ulcerations are often seen on the tumor primary site, regular evaluations are necessary until the necrosis retreats, therefore excluding the possibility of recurrence.
